Induction into Songwriters Hall of Fame

And now Albert is going to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame (SHOF). The ceremony is scheduled for June 19, 2008, in New York City.

The SOFH's goal is, in its own words, to recognize and honor "the accomplishments and lives of those men and women who create the popular songs that serve as the soundtrack of our lives".

Albert is thrilled about this honor and wants his fans to know that this by no way means that he is planning to retire - on the contrary: he is busy writing new music.

In the context of his induction, Music Week, the most important music magazine in England, is releasing a supplement with photos at the end of May. Available now.

Albert on television

Albert will appear on German television. On June 1, 2008, 8.15pm CET, NDR is going to broadcast "Die Nacht des deutschen Schlagers", an outdoor live event in front of 10'000 fans. Pictures to be added soon.
